Sommer Chater

Hi, I’m Sommer! Hairstylist, salon owner, wife, and boy mom.

I’ve been behind the chair for over 12 years, and hair has always been something I genuinely love. I specialize in customized color, lived in blondes, and extensions, but what I love most is the connection that comes with being a stylist. I love getting to know the women who sit in my chair, hearing about their lives, and creating hair that makes them feel confident and like themselves.

I created Tessera Studio because I wanted more than just a salon. I wanted to create a space where stylists could feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow  while still having community, independence, and balance. A place where we can build our individual careers we’re proud of, together, without feeling like we have to sacrifice our lives outside of the salon.

Outside of the salon, I’m usually with my family, chasing around my boys, working on my latest craft project, or enjoying the little moments in between.

I’m so grateful you’re here and considering trusting me with your hair. I can’t wait to have you in my chair

Hi, I’m Ella! I've been behind the chair for 4 years! 

When I’m not behind the chair, you can usually find me drinking coffee, going on walks, soaking up the sunshine, or eating all the Mexican food. I love listening to old country music, spending time with my family, and exploring the city with my boyfriend, Jake.

I love creating beautiful hair and getting to know the people who sit in my chair. I want every appointment to feel comfortable, relaxed, and like you’re spending time with a friend.

I’m so happy you’re here and can’t wait to have you in my chair!

Ash Ayala

Hi! I’m Ash, I’ve been behind the chair for 15 years, crafting and curating my career around creating beautiful, effortless hair and an experience that feels like you. I specialize in lived-in blondes + dimensional color with high impact and low maintenance in mind, the perfect combo for the low-maintenance girlies.

I’m the owner of Mane Babes Studio, proudly operating out of Tessera Studio with some amazing artist. I’m a mom to my 14-year-old son, Brodie, and so much of what I’ve built has been inspired by creating a life I’m proud of for both of us.

My chair is where good hair, good conversation, and good vibes are always welcome. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, while experiencing a luxury yet calm environment for all your hair needs.
